The tickets were all purchased and used on a daily basis during a period of one week and were of a single trip variety, with the exception of one which was a day ticket with multiple rides. To derive pitches from numbers, reference was made to a simple system of musical notations used in China, called jian-pu.

A set of 52 piano pieces for intermediate grades, the second in the set of three volumes. 2nd Edition, edited by Hannah Th'ng.
These volumes address a serious artistic repertoire for beginning players, not just classical repertoire simplified. The only main-stream composer who has taken on such a task was Bartok with his MIKROKOSMOS, which gave the young pianist serious repertoire as well as drawing heavily on the folk-music sources which were close to Bartok's heart and compositional world. The order of pieces included is not just for progression of difficulty, but for variety, challenge, inspiration as well. As the composer claims that this will always be contentious, it at least indicates roughly the intent behind the ordering of the collection. Volume two includes mostly pieces for Levels 1 to 4. (55 pieces in Volume II mainly - Levels 2/3- 5)

Chacarera Tropical

The chacarera is a dance form and rhythm originating in the rural areas of north-western Argentina. From there it spread to urban areas and became recognised as a national folk dance of Argentina. The tropical element in this composition is the middle quasi-improvised section, which uses a typical Cuban son four-bar chord progression. The son is a dance and song form originating in the rural areas of eastern Cuba. Like most Cuban music, it is an amalgam of the African and Spanish cultural origins of the country. Composed 2016
