Medley SSAA

SSAA Traditional Spiritual, c.4'15

This arrangement presents a medley of three spirituals, beginning very solemnly and becoming progressively more upbeat, eventually combining two of the songs together before concluding with a short reprise of the first song.  It provides an opportunity both for immersing oneself thoroughly in somber, rich harmonies and for having a rollicking good time!  After all, these songs not only expressed a great deal of abject misery but also provided an outlet for finding and expressing great spiritual joy.
