For students in their first years of vocal study. A short and humorous work. The vocal line is simple making use of the descending scale form with the occasional octave leap, supported in the accompaniment. Rhythm is simply expressed with contrasts between crotchet and triplet figuration. The simple piano accompaniment supports the voice and introduces some chromatic element.
