Alto saxophone and backing track with strings: violin, viola and cello.

This is a ‘song-like’ chorale played out five times. The first is by strings with a flowing chord progression. The second is the same progression joined by alto saxophone though some chords are lingered over and the just intonation chords extended in the strings. The third time is simply the first repeated. The fourth is like the second though extended further, the saxophone an octave higher and a few high pitches highlighted by a glockenspiel. The fifth time we hear the strings play their first and third version yet now the saxophone plays a flowing melody.

This publication includes a study score with the saxophone part.
