Two Concert Pieces (Trumpet)

Two pieces for trumpet and piano - trumpet in both Bb and C.  Advanced level of difficulty.

• 1.  Dance, c.4'30
• 2.  Caprice, c.4'00

Dance is in a somewhat languorous Tango style, with some challenges in leaps, range and tonguing.

Caprice is a little more flighty, with some busy passages for both performers and a sense of mild precipitation.  Again, there are challenges in range and tonguing.

Both works demand excellent ensemble and a wide dynamic.
